Stump Grinding FAQ

We typically grind 6 to 12 inches below grade, which is deep enough to eliminate the root crown, prevent regrowth, and allow you to plant grass or install new landscaping directly over the area.

Mesquite is notorious for resprouting from roots if the stump is not ground deeply enough. We grind all stumps to full depth and can apply a root inhibitor on mesquite for added protection against regrowth.

Chips can be left as natural mulch for your garden beds, spread over the ground, or we can haul them away completely. Just let us know your preference when you schedule the service.
